About Yarrawarra Aboriginal Cultural centre
Yarrawarra Aboriginal Cultural Centre, incorporating Nuralamee Conference and Accommodation Centre is positioned on 7 acres on Red Rock Road, Corindi Beach, NSW. Situated 35klm north of Coffs Harbour, a 25-minute drive, is approximately half way between Sydney & Brisbane.
Yarrawarra, means 'happy meeting place' and Nuralamee means 'our home camp' in the Gumbaynggirr language. Nuralamee features a main conference/meeting room that can seat up to 150 guests. The two accommodation wings (male / female) located either side of central multi-purpose conference room, accommodates 70 in total. Nuralamee has 8 spacious bedrooms in each wing with shared amenities; each room sleeps 4 in bunks ('quad share'). In addition, there are 2 twin share rooms with ensuite and 2 single bedrooms with vanity basins. There is a toilet / shower room for disabled guests. Nuralamee has catering facilities including Chef, fully equipped commercial kitchen, an undercover BBQ area, and a large grassy outdoor area for receptions, sports, dance and relaxation.
Cultural Experiences Yarrawarra Aboriginal Cultural Centre offers a unique experience of the Gumbaynggirr people's stories around the campfire, Boomerang painting, clay modelling, screen printing, basket weaving, Aboriginal sites tour, Gumbaingirr language courses and our fantastic Bush Tucker Walks, Fishtap or Red Ochre Tours.
