About Rathmines Theatre
Rathmines Theatre is a unique space that offers elegance and ambience for every occasion. This 300 Capacity theatre is available to hire privately for quality stage productions, special functions and events including cocktail parties, meetings, dinners, ceremonies, small conferences, product launches or presentations.
After a $3.3 million refurbishment in 2020, Rathmines Theatre offers a range of facilities including:
- 6.5m deep x 9m wide stage (the stage tapers back to 5m wide upstage)
- foyer area for door ticket sales, advertising of promotional material and serving refreshments
- kitchen equipped with an oven, refrigerator, urn and sink with close proximity to the foyer area
- rehearsal/meeting room
- male and female dressing rooms
- platform lift to allow people with disability access to the stage, and
- the auditorium is fitted with a hearing loop
The state-of-the-art facility is also home to the heritage centre, a place where your guests can also learn about the history of Rathmines and Lake Macquarie city.
