About The Manning Entertainment Centre
The Manning Entertainment Centre is a 500 seat venue located in Taree, New South Wales. It has operated continuously for 31 years, hosting a broad range of entertainment, ranging through theatre, ballet and modern dance to contemporary music, experimental drama, children's entertainment and film. The Manning Entertainment Centre is the home of the annual Taree and District Eisteddfod, one of the largest regional eisteddfods in Australia, and the Taree Arts Council, who were instrumental in the Centre's creation. We support local community and school groups through special hire rates to ensure that the space is accessible to a wide spectrum of users. Each year the Manning Entertainment Centre presents an in-house season of varied shows, workshops and masterclasses, as well as hosting outside hirer performances, such as touring shows, and international acts. We aim for excellence in service and skills, and have developed a reputation for professionalism and friendliness that keeps the touring acts returning year after year. Our future is particularly exciting, with the planned design and construction of a 100 seat studio space to compliment the larger auditorium which will be perfect for conferences and meetings in 2021. The Manning Entertainment Centre is a cultural service of MidCoast Council.
