Fort Scratchley

About Fort Scratchley

Fort Scratchley is situated at the eastern end of Newcastle on the site where convicts created Australia's first coal mine in 1801. To protect the coastline in the event of an attack, Fort Battlesticks was constructed and the site became known as Signal Hill. Today the Fort operates as a museum and provides a unique venue for business events.

Fort Scratchley Function Centre is a contemporary centre which boasts a light filled space with spectacular views over the ocean ideal for business presentations, workshops and retreats, cocktail parties and corporate events.

We understand the importance of getting business done right and impressing your clients and as such our experienced and professional Team will work closely with you to ensure your event runs efficiently, on time and has the desired impact to ensure business objectives are meet.
