About Gunnedah Cultural Precinct
Conveniently located towards the western end of Gunnedah main street, the Gunnedah Cultural Precinct provides a variety of venues with rooms and activity options for your function, conference, seminar or meeting. The precinct comprises three adjoining buildings that can work together for a large conference, or separately for smaller requirements.
Gunnedah Town Hall was built in the 1920's. Its refurbishment and recent upgrades have maintained the Town Hall architectural and heritage value whilst providing 21st century comforts and technology, making it a popular venue for many large functions.
Next door, the Smithurst Theatre presents a comfortable venue with a stage and kitchen facilities for smaller gatherings.
The Bicentennial Creative Arts Centre contains two galleries, a small kitchen, an artist studio and a meeting room, all suitable for meetings, breakout areas or displays. The front gallery displays works by local artists, whilst the back gallery houses exhibitions that change regularly.
Joining the Creative Arts Centre with The Civic, the Mooki Room is an attractive, open room featuring two magnificent community inspired murals. Opened in 2001, The Civic Theatre comfortably seats 134 people. As well as movies, The Civic is a well-equipped venue for presenting music and drama, concerts, presentations and conferences.
